Female Mysterious (The Divine Feminine) : © Debra J MeyerThis watercolor painting portrays aspects of the Divine Feminine in expression on earth.  The vine is in the shape of the universal symbol for the female and the intertwining braches represent the experiences that, woven together, create a whole person.  The flowering blossoms show how we grow and benefit through that which we experience; and how this growth will become manifest in our lives.  The night sky and full moon symbolize the mystery of being female, which includes those highly developed intuitions or "gut" feelings that are always present to remind us we are much more than a physical being.  The illuminated ocean waters speak of the depth and peace that comes through our own understandings of the world, as well as our ability to confidently choose how to conduct ourselves given that knowledge.  This artwork was designed to depict the courageous acceptance of who we are in our fullness -- both light and dark, frightened and brave, open, yet guarded, filled with joy and sorrow.  With a peaceful heart, we can embrace the fact that, though flawed by our own judgments, we are -- each and every one -- gifted and beautiful.
